Laboratory of Neural Control

Understanding how the brain can generate
flexible behavior
We study the neural mechanisms underlying higher cognitive function. By using state-of-the-art technologies, we investigate how the brain can learn and compute such flexible behavior.

Building efficient Brain-Machine Interface
We develop an efficient information communication algorithm using the neural interface to study flexible learning and cognitive control.

Technologies for neuroscience
Our work involves studying complex behavior in mice, using the next-generation tools such as Neuropixels neural probes, Calcium-imaging, Rodent Virtual Reality System, Optogenetics, and ultrafast Brain-Machine Interface.

We are currently recruiting talented graduate students and postdocs! Undergraduate students who are interested in immersing themselves in the field of systems neuroscience are also welcome.
